Geographic Farming |
Doreen Finley is a Realty Post client and Doreen came up with the idea of using Pages 1 and 2 of the hard copy for Geographic Farming. She however needed something with a "Call to Action" so asked if we could do a change. Well, there are a couple of ideas but one that is very easy is to use the area on the Bottom Left of Page 1 with a "Call to Action" message. Here is a sample that you might want to try something similar. Click Here If you would like to change what you have in that area on the hard copy just email me your message and I will do my best to make it fit. |

Next Month's Issue Info |
the Realty Post January 2012 issue will have Happy New Year with some balloons at the upper right in the stories. You should try to get it out as soon as you get it so the clients receive it before the end of the month. I know that is impossible on the hard copy but it is on the email copy.
Remember the hard copy can now be just pages 1 and 2 or it can be all 4 pages. You have that option now. I personally send all 4 to everyone as I feel the hard copy is just as important if not more important than the email copy. It stays in the home longer and everyone gets to see it not just whoever looks at the computer.
I will be sending it out on Boxing Day December 26th.
Cheers!

MacProg.com
|
I have found a great email program that allows both Mac and Windows to do bulk emails to their client without having to use your own Outlook or MacMail programs. If you get into the depths of it you can even get reports back. It starts as low as $49.90 up to $99.90 for a package that handles reports and even bounces. What I also like is there is a part of it that requires no COPY or PASTE of the page. All it requires is the URL which in my case would be http://theRealtyPost.biz/edrobinson/email.htm. I just have to put that line into the MESSAGE area and select WEB PAGE in one of the buttons and that's it. There is a bit or a learning curve but it's great once you get the hang of it.
Go to http://www.maxprog.com/site/index_us.php to see the actual software. |

Print the first two pages only |
VERY IMPORTANT: I have had a few request for just two pages on the hard copy so this month you will be able to print only Pages 1 and 2 front and back but for those that want to print all 4 pages they can go ahead and do so.
Please Keep in Mind a Hard Copy is just as important as the email copy and maybe even more so as it stays in the house longer and more people see it. |

Banners on Hard Copy
|
For those that have added a banner on the header it will be on November’s issue of both the email and the hard copy. If you want one on your’s I can add it any time during the month from now on since the code has been written to make it work.
If you do a new header just send it and I will add it to both the hard copy newsletter and the email newsletter as long as it is 800 x 175 pixels. |

E-mail Software |
Here is a great way to send your newsletters via E-mail. Go to
www.MailChimp.com It's free up to 2000 a month and gives great reports. There is a bit of a learning curve but all in all I like it and use it every month. |
Oct 12, 2011 Banners Explained |
Here are some samples of banners that are online now. Hopefully the links will help you to understand how they work. Just click on the following links. If you get a banner created please send it to me (800 x 175 pixels) and I'll add it for you.

The colours on the banner for the email newsletter can fairly fairly light or dark. You should try to keep them lighter for the Printable Copy of the newsletter as if they are very dark they will not print well. If they do turn out to be too dark just let me know. Normally I should be able to lighten them somewhat to help. |

Banners Update |
I am getting a lot of agents asking about having banners in their header on both the email copy and the hard copy. Well I can now do it on the hard copy too. I need it to be a graphic image and just about any type such as "jpg, tif, png, gif, pdf". It has to be 800 pixels wide X 175 pixels high. It can of course be "Proportionately Smaller or Larger" and I could resize. Here is a sample which is actually 580 x 127 pixels however if it's increased in size proprtionately it becomes 800 pixels X 175 pixels therefore I can make it fit perfectly. Whoever is doing your graphic will understand this.

Old English Font |
If you would like to have the Old English Font used on your eMail newsletter please just let me know and I'll do it asap. You can use a custom name but try to keep it short so I can make it fit between your photo and your company logo. Just click on the CONTACT button (Upper Right) and email me. As of today, all new users will automatically be using the Old English Font |

Links Page |
There were some issues with the formatting on the Lnks Page however I've gone through the code and it looks fine now. It was not an issue about the links working but just the appearance. |

TREB Ad Online |
I have taken out an ad on the Toronto Real Estate Board's web site in the merchant area. If you are online please take a look at it. Thanks. |
Old English Font |
You may not use the Old English Font similar to the above in the header. This is done with a picture of the font so that all the web browsers will show the same thing. It's impossible to do in a regular font as certain browsers will interpret it as a different font therefore by creating the font in Adobe I can save it as a "PNG" file and then make it transparent so you can see though it showing the background. |
Banners |
You may now send me a banner for the header of the eMail newsletter. We can't do the hard copy. It's something I'll attempt later. |
Canadian Province Links |
I have moved the Canadian Provinces to the bottom of the newsletter. I think it would be nice to keep them there for our clients to view and click on to go to different Provinces. Each link will oen a new window so your Newsletter will always be there when they close the Province window. |
Canadian Flag |
I have added a Canadian Flag to the right hand side of the home screen so agents will realize it really is a Canadian Newsletter. This doesn't affect the actual newsletter |
